Stateless

It seems Helios never knew that Alexander’s middle name got two words.

The first time I realized it was several months ago when Alexander wrote down a K, Helios wiped it out and said: “No no no, it was not your middle name. Your middle name should be L.”

But K was my last name. And we decided to use L.K as his middle name TOGETHER when he was born. That night when we finally made our mind, he leaned against a chair, and laughed out loud like a psychic, because it did sound fun when it was translated to our native language.

Tonight, we got an email from the school district about Alexander’s placement, in which Alexander’s full name was clearly stated. Helios shouted when he opened the email: “What? Is Alexander’s middle name got two words?!”

Two years ago, when we went to The Pancake House in McCall for the first time, Helios ordered two dishes out of hundreds of dishes printed on a newspaper-like menu. A year ago, we went to that place again, he placed the same order AGAIN before he realized he did the same thing a year ago.

He was very proud of that, as he said it is STATELESS as defined in the engineering industry.

Oh Well, he showed the stateless state after he learned Alexander’s middle name 7 years after he'd become his father. He leaned against a chair, and laughed out loud like a psychic.
